Presumably, this limitation applies to all versions of Sonic Origins Plus, including the Switch version. Mania Plus in comparison has all the extra content on the disc/cartridge. Shame it could not be on the disc itself. So Sonic Origins Plus' extra content with Amy and the Game Gear games will not be included on the disc, but be a separate download code. This discovery was shared by Twitter users and the latter of whom managed to find and picture the physical version of Sonic Origins Pluson PS5, which includes a disclaimer explaining that the extra content with new playable characters and Game Gear titles will be included as a separate download code.
